What you need to know about Supreme.

This is part one of a two part series about the clothing brand Supreme. This brand has been around a lot longer than I thought and my initial impression was that it was just another skate brand with limited runs creating some sort of false demand for their merchandise.  That was until I purchased a piece from Supreme and realized that a clothing brand can embody so much more.

Time to start using this tumblr account again.

Everyone once in awhile when I share music, suggest a new app, talk about a TV show or new movie I tell myself I should post this in a blog.  So I’m really gonna do it this time!

DJ Craze 5x DMC World Champion flexes not only his turntablist skills but also his controllerist skills using Traktor 2, Traktor Kontrol X1, and MASCHINE.  This is possibly the best display of creativeness taking the art of Digital DJing to the next level.

What Did You Expect From the Vaccines?

Not much actually considering this band was only formed in 2010.  Surprisingly this band caught my attention with an upbeat rhythm contrasted by the melancholy voice of Justin Young.  Their debut album “What Did You Expect The Vaccines” is a mix of post punk, surf pop, and lo-fi. Perfect for sunny days in San Francisco.

I Consume Media…

…and a whole lot of it. Mostly music; but also alot of movies, TV Shows, games, and apps. So, why not write about it. The way people consume media has changed over the years, and there is so much media that a lot of good stuff is lost by something new coming out every 10 seconds. So I’m changing my tumbr account to focus on the important media that should be talked about; weather it is old or new.  Let’s see where this goes…

Here’s a video I shot with Landline TV today. A spoof of the Gizmodo video showing off the next iPhone. This was improvised — hence my trouble thinking of the word “pattern.”

Nice.

The World’s Most Important 6-sec Drum Loop

Looking past the mono-tone voice this is one of the most interesting videos I have seen explaining how one 6 second break directly influenced the world of popular music.  A sample used numerous times in hip-hip, electronica, and even car commercials.

You may or may not have heard of SO ME but I’m sure you have seen his work in Justice’s D.A.N.C.E. video, and KanYe’s Good Life video.  This is a time-lapse video of SO ME in action… ENJOY!
